Snow falls, the wind blows and lights twinkle when winter comes to Amsterdam, Portland and Tokyo. Portland's Marina at Riverplace

    Photo Diary: Marinas

Portland, Amsterdam and Tokyo’s marinas bring functionality and beauty to their cities. Amsterdam’s NEMO Science Center shares its harbor with ships modeled after 19th century designs and events such as Sail Amsterdam. Yokohama, a short day trip from Tokyo, is one of Japan’s newest cities (at 100 years old), but has gained recognition for its museums, World Porters Shopping Mall, and shipping dock: Yokohama Harbor.

    Photo Diary: Cycling Races

Last Sunday’s Portland Century inspired this week’s photo diary. Portland, Amsterdam and Tokyo are well known as biking cities, so when you are visiting, make sure to rent a bike and tour the neighborhoods.
